Avesta Fonts

Working together over a period of several years, William Malandra and Emily Blanchard West put together a comprehensive suite of Avestan-script and transliteration fonts in the True Type format for the Windows platform. Modeled after some of the beautiful lead typefaces used in the 19th and early 20th centuries in India (differing from the font of Geldner's critical edition), they are closer to the orthography of authoritative manuscripts such as F1. They are an attractive and functional way to render Avestan or transliterated Avestan on the computer.

From July, 3 till July, 9th, 2009 Russia the head zoroastian has visited communities of Iran, mobed Ardeshir Khorshidian. During visit it met Pavel Globa, with the Moscow scientists studying Iran and zaratushtrian of Moscow and Petersburg . From July, 6 till July, 8th he has visited St.-Petersburg.

On July, 6th ritual of Dzhashan has been spent, on July, 7th the dear visitor at a meeting has answered questions on zoroastrizm, on July, 8th had a rest in city suburbs, has visited ballet «Swan lake».

Jamshedi Nou Rouz — “New Year” Prayers

Avesta & Pazand prayers For Jamshedi Nou Rouz in Farsi, Gujarati and English script with translations.

These are compiled into a power point presentation by Erv Soli Dastur after consultation with knowledgeable Zarathushti priests in Iran, India and North America.

Using just the first 41 slides will take approximately 25 minutes for the prayers to be recited.
Additional optional prayers are appended in the remainder of the slides.
